Cole County leaders gave an update on the COVID-19 pandemic at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Last week, two Jefferson City hospitals received extra coronavirus vaccine doses. It was a decision made by the state health department to reduce the burden on mass vaccination clinics.

A social media post from the health department asked residents to remove themselves from its list of people wanting to receive the coronavirus vaccine if they have received a shot elsewhere.
