Tracking the end of snow, slowly thawing out the rest of the week
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few flurries. Lows falling into the mid-single digits. Wind chills between zero and -5. Roads could be slick into the morning commute, especially on city streets and side roads.
TOMORROW: Partly to mostly cloudy and chilly with highs in the low 20s. Wind chills in the low teens.
EXTENDED: Temperatures are slow to warm the rest of the work week, but sunshine will help get us back into the upper 20s to around 30 on Friday, and clear some of the existing snow on sidewalks and city roads. Saturday should bring welcome relief with highs getting back into the upper 30s as the jet stream finally migrates more north. Expect increasing clouds Saturday night into Sunday ahead of our next front that will bring winds from the south, pushing us into the upper 30s to low 40s despite our next chance of precipitation. We'll likely see a mix of snow, sleet, and rain at the onset of precipitation Sunday afternoon, but the primary type will be rain with most of us getting to about 40 during the day. We may see a brief changeover to wet snow showers Sunday night, but generally no impacts are expected. Warmer weather sticks around into next week with highs getting into the low 50s with sunshine by Tuesday and Wednesday.
