Tracking a break from the light snow
THURSDAY: Some leftover morning flurries will start to move out towards midday. No extra accumulation is expected with anything falling this morning. Temperatures will struggle to warm up much again with clouds sticking around, with highs topping out near 20.
TONIGHT: The clouds stick around tonight, with lows falling into the single digits, feeling subzero when factoring in the winds overnight.
EXTENDED: It’s looking like more of the same Friday. We’ll stay dry, but cold with highs in the teens. Late Friday night into Saturday our next disturbance will pass through. A few light snow showers will be possible, with the best chances at seeing those north of the interstate. Amounts look like for the viewing area. The bigger concern is the cold air settling in behind that system overnight. Lows will fall below zero Saturday night before topping out in the single digits Sunday. We’re back below zero Sunday night as our next storm system moves through. Depending on the track, we could see some more accumulations with this system but we’re still working on the timing. Stay with us though through the weekend as we iron those out. Stay used to the cold, it’s here throughout next week, but won’t be quite as dangerous as this weekend.
