Tracking the potential for more precipitation and accumulations
TUESDAY: Precipitation has largely shut off. Most of the day will be dry aside from a stray flurry here and there. The cold isn’t going anywhere, with highs in the teens this afternoon. Wind chills will likely top out in the single digits.
TONIGHT: Another round of light snow and freezing drizzle will move in tonight. It looks like the onset will be closer to midnight, sparing the evening commute from getting worse. Morning impacts, however, are expected by daybreak. For the latest details on what to expect, head over to the Stormtrack Insider Blog.
EXTENDED: That light snow and freezing drizzle will be off and on through the day on Wednesday. It’ll finally wrap up overnight, leaving a dusting to an inch of new snow, and another glaze of ice possible south of HWY 50. The rest of Thursday looks quiet and that will spill over into Friday. By the weekend, we’re tracking our next Arctic outbreak, and this one could be worse than the last. It looks to move in with some snow during the day on Saturday, with below zero lows waiting for us Saturday night. Sunday looks dry, but will be brutally cold with highs in the single digits. We’ll drop below zero again Sunday night with another cold day in store Monday.
