Crash backs up traffic on Missouri River bridge
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A crash backed up traffic on the Missouri River bridge near Rocheport on Tuesday morning.
Boone County emergency dispatchers sent an alert just before 9:30 a.m. warning of a crash on the bridge. A Missouri Department of Transportation traffic camera showed traffic at a standstill but vehicles began moving at about 10 a.m.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpl. Kyle Green said multiple vehicles were involved but no injuries were reported. MoDOT's traveler information map showed the Interstate 70 was mostly clear at the time of the crash.
Snow still clung to many area highways mid-morning Tuesday, with the map showing several state highways as partially covered in snow.
