Two injured in Boone County wreck

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting two people were injured after a wreck Tuesday afternoon at State Road HH and North Brown Station rd.

According to troopers, Marshell Thomas who was driving a 2010 Ford Escape failed to yield to Jacque Dieckmann who was driving a 2020 Kia Forte causing the Escape to hit the Forte. The highway patrol said it caused Dieckmann's car to go off the side of the road and hit a road sign.

Dieckmann was taken to University Hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries. Thomas was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital with minor injuries, troopers said.

Both drivers were wearing a seatbelt.
