Tracking a soggy start to the weekend

TODAY: Rain will begin steadily this morning, with a few thunderstorms popping up into the afternoon. Highs will be able to reach the mid-40s. Up to 1" of rain is possible with winds gusting up to 30 mph.

SUNDAY: Any wintry precipitation looks to stay to the north as lingering showers continue into the early morning. Temperatures will be a bit cooler in the upper 30s, but high winds gusting up to 30 mph will keep wind chills much colder in the 20s.

EXTENDED: We begin to clear skies out on Monday, but temperatures remain seasonable in the upper 30s to around 40. We get underneath upper level high pressure once again by Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing sunshine and warmer temperatures in the mid-40s to near 50 by Wednesday and Thursday. Another system will bring a chance of showers on Thursday, followed by a big cool down by next Friday into the weekend.
