WATCH: Coronavirus vaccine clinics open across Mid-Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Randolph, Pettis and Audrain counties will hold coronavirus vaccination clinics on Friday for residents in Phase 1B, tiers one and two of the vaccine plan.

The vaccination clinic at the Mexico Memorial Airport will open at 8:15 a.m.

Audrain County's vaccination site will be open until 4 p.m. County health department CEO Craig Brace said there were about 1,000 cars lined up outside the event.

Brace said 22 people will be giving out the shots. The executive said 20 organizations came together to make the vaccination clinic happen.

People attending the Audrain County event did not have to pre-register.

In Randolph County, residents were able to sign up for time slots between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The shots will be administered at Riley Pavilion at Rothwell Park in Moberly.

Pettis County is also holding a vaccination event Friday, in Sedalia from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The vaccine effort in Sedalia began Thursday and will run through Saturday. It is taking place at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.
