Tracking more sunshine to round out the week

bright afternoon

FRIDAY: Another nice day with a healthy dose of sunshine and a southerly breeze. Temperatures will warm into the upper 40’s with both of those two working together. Gusts will approach 20-25 mph.

TONIGHT: Clouds start to increase tonight, but we’ll stay dry. Lows will be propped up in the middle 30’s, with that southerly wind keeping up.

EXTENDED: Rain moves in early Saturday, filling in by 8 AM. With plenty of moisture to work with again, and the low tracking just about overhead, rain will come down at a decent clip. Most of us will pick up about 0.50-1.0” but some higher amounts pushing 1.50” look to fall north of the interstate. Wouldn’t be surprised at all to hear some thunder as temperatures meander towards the lower 40’s. Most of this will move out by Sunday, but a few flurries are possible during the day. It doesn’t look serious, with the blustery conditions likely what more of us will remember about Sunday with highs in the 30’s. Monday we welcome sunshine back as highs reach near 40. We’ll warm slightly on Tuesday into the middle 40’s, approaching 50 Wednesday before another storm system enters the picture.
