Columbia man arrested for possession of child porn

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A tip by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children leads to charges of possession of child porn for a Columbia man.

According to court documents, Google became aware of over 20 child pornography images on a Google Photos account.

During the investigation, it was determined Joshua Kidd was the person who allegedly had access to the account.

According to court documents, Kidd's email and phone number were used for recovery purposes on the account that had child porn.

Also during the investigation, it was determined that Kidd had been at the same locations as the IP addresses captured by Google when the account was accessed according to court documents.
