Tracking light snow through late Wednesday morning

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with light snow showers moving in northwest well after midnight. Lows in the low to mid-20s.

TOMORROW: Snow showers likely through the lunch hour. Highs in the upper 20s to around 30. Snow accumulation generally a dusting to 1".

EXTENDED: Areas north of Highway 24 and west of Highway 65 could get 1-2" of snowfall through late Wednesday morning with potential slick spots on untreated areas. Wind chills will remain in the upper teens through much of Wednesday with air temperatures getting into the mid-teens for Thursday morning. Clouds clear into Thursday, bringing temperatures back up in to the upper 30s to around 40 with more sunshine. Expect a bit more cloud cover Friday, but we'll see a wind shift to the south, bringing highs into the upper 40s to around 50. We stay warmer than average near 50 on Saturday, but our next low pressure system will overtake the region and bring widespread rainfall to the area. Rain amounts range between 0.5" and 1" through Saturday night. Sunday is about 10 degrees cooler with highs falling into the low 40s under mostly cloudy skies.
