Chiefs survive without Mahomes to advance to AFC Championship

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Chiefs survived a late comeback attempt by Cleveland to advance to their third straight AFC Championship game. Kansas City won the game 22-17.

Patrick Mahomes left the game in the third quarter after an apparent head injury. He would not return after being diagnosed with a concussion.

On 4th and inches late in the fourth quarter, backup quarterback Chad Henne completed a pass to Tyreek Hill to seal the win.

The Chiefs will host the Bills in the AFC Championship game next Sunday.
