Tracking snow moving in this morning
FRIDAY: Our next round of Winter its way south this morning. Looks to move in to some of our northern counties around 6:00am, nearing I-70 by 7:00, and our southern counties by 9:00. The morning will have more widespread coverage, but remain fairly light in intensity. Towards midday we’ll notice an uptick in intensity, where the snow will come down quicker. Winds gusting up to 40-50 mph at times will create near whiteout conditions, so the roads could become treacherous. For the latest details that will be updated throughout the day, head over to the Insider Blog.
TONIGHT: That snow will start to dwindle overnight as the system pulls east. Roads will likely still be slick in spots as lows fall into the 20’s.
EXTENDED: Some flurries will be possible Saturday morning, but won’t add up. Otherwise, the weekend’s looking chilly with highs both days in the low to mid 30’s. We’re tracking another disturbance Sunday afternoon that could spark a few more flakes, but it doesn’t appear to be troublesome. Next week highs bounce back into the low 40’s. We’ll be tracking a few disturbance throughout the week, but nothing looks concrete until the end of the week.
