Tracking scattered rain Thursday, snow showers Friday
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with lows in the mid-upper 30s.
TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers early. Breezy with highs in the low to mid-40s.
EXTENDED: Behind the cold front, winds will continue to gust between 25-30 mph into Friday. Low pressure to our north will send light to moderate snow showers to the area by late morning, lasting through early evening. Snowfall rates could become more steady in some areas, giving us a dusting to about an inch of accumulation. Areas that can get underneath more moderate snow bands could see locally higher amounts of 1.5" to 2". Air temperatures on Friday will reach the low to mid-30s, and with the mild start to this week, road impacts will be less of an issue. Still, slushy areas should be watched for into Friday night. Gusty winds on Friday will drop wind chills into the teens for much of the day into Saturday morning. Over the weekend, clouds stick around along with cold temperatures in the 30s. A weak disturbance could bring a few flurries on Sunday. Next week starts off quiet and a bit warmer in the low 40s.
