Spring-like temperatures followed by bitter wind chills and snow late week
It's been a bright start to the week with temperatures soaring into the low 50s Tuesday with a southwest breeze in place.
Upper level high pressure will keep the jet stream to the north again on Wednesday, keeping us about 15+ degrees warmer than average as temperatures get into the mid-upper 50s.

Colder, arctic air will push in our direction Thursday as a cold front is forced through Mid-Missouri at the surface. Clouds push in early, and there could be a few showers along the front during the day. Temperatures fall into the low 40s by late afternoon.

Much colder air filters in for Friday as temperatures drop into the 30s. Lingering moisture from the low pressure system rotating to our north could send a few snow showers our way, giving us a dusting or less of accumulation due to how light the showers are expected to be. With cold temperatures in place and winds between 25-30 mph, wind chills will stay in the teens for much of Friday.
