Republican U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley pledged Wednesday to object to the formal certification of Electoral College votes in a congressional session next week.
Experts believe the objection, which must start in the House, will not lead to rejection of any states' electors. However, Hawley and other allies of President Donald Trump continue to cast doubt on the election results.
