Tracking a windy day with cold air looming

headlinesss

WEDNESDAY: We’re starting out in the 50’s this morning, but those will leave us this afternoon. A few showers look to develop during the late morning and early afternoon hours. Our best chances at using the umbrella is going to be east of HWY 63. Temperatures start to fall into the 40’s this afternoon, and mid to upper 30’s for the evening commute. Winds will be a problem as well, with gusts reaching 35-40 mph at times.

TONIGHT: We’ll keep the winds around and keep cooling off tonight. Temperatures will eventually bottom out near 20, but feel like the single digits.

EXTENDED: A cold start to our Christmas Eve won’t improve much. Temperatures will only top out in the middle 20’s Thursday. We’re back in the teens overnight as Santa flies in Thursday night, but it won’t be quite as windy. After we open those presents, temperatures look to top out in the middle 30’s Friday. We’re back near 50 Saturday before rain chances enter the picture again Sunday afternoon. Right now doesn’t look like it’s anything terribly heavy. Temperatures take a fall getting into next week, with highs Monday in the 30’s
