Mizzou to play in Music City Bowl

The Mizzou football team will play in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30.

The Tigers will play Iowa at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. on Dec. 30.
The Tigers finished the regular season 5-5 after Saturday night's loss to Mississippi State. MU's five conference wins was the most for the program since 2014.
Iowa went 6-2 in its conference only schedule. The Hawkeyes lost their first two games, but they won six in a row to close out the season.
MU and Iowa last faced off in the Insight Bowl back in 2010. The Hawkeyes beat the Tigers 27-24 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.
Mizzou missed out on the postseason last season due to a bowl ban. The Tigers haven't won a bowl game since the Citrus Bowl in 2014.
Running back Larry Rountree said he will play in the Tigers bowl game. The senior has not won a bowl game in his time with MU.
Meanwhile, offensive lineman Larry Borom announced he will forego his senior and declare for the 2021 NFL Draft.
Head coach Eli Drinkwitz and athletic director Jim Sterk are scheduled to speak about the upcoming bowl game at 5:30 p.m. We will post the full news conference once it concludes.
