Tracking another shivering start with a shot at snow tonight

COLD START

TUESDAY: It’s going to be another cold one this afternoon. Clouds have returned, and will likely stick with us throughout the day. Temperatures will be held in the low to mid 30’s for highs.

TONIGHT: Our next disturbance moves in this evening. Some light snow showers will be possible anytime between about 8pm and 6am. It likely won’t snow hard enough for long enough to cause any issues on the roads. A light dusting will be possible just about area-wide, but a bit easier to find south of I-70. Lows will back up into the mid to upper 20’s.

EXTENDED: That disturbance moves east Wednesday, but will leave behind cold air as sunshine returns. Highs will be stuck in the upper 30’s Wednesday before warming into the 40’s Thursday. We keep the ball rolling into the weekend, with a chance to get to 50 Friday. A cold front slides through into Saturday, but precipitation chances look slim with it. Highs will suffer a setback Saturday, back into the mid to upper 40’s but will bounce back Sunday. Appears the holiday week is trending warmer than average, with a good chance to keep the low 50’s around.
