WATCH: Cole County leaders hold coronavirus briefing
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Cole County health officials gave an update about the coronavirus pandemic Friday afternoon.
In the briefing health officials and political leaders stressed the importance of following guidelines such as wearing a mask and maintaining social distance. Cole County has resisted calls for a health order or mask mandate to slow the spread of the virus.
More than 50 nursing home residents in Jefferson City have died from COVID-19, according to data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
