Inmate who escaped Reality House charged with rape, other charges

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One of the three inmates who escaped Reality House is now charged with rape, three counts of domestic assault and one count of unlawful use of weapon.

According to court documents, Lawrence Johnson was found at a motel on Nov. 27 in the 3400 block of I-70 Drive SE.

The victim told police that Johnson had assaulted the victim and that the victim's mouth, face, back, ribs hurt and that it was hard to walk, according to the probable cause statement.

The victim told police that they had gone to a motel when Johnson hit the victim, dragged the victim and punched the victim in the face. Johnson then put the victim in a chokehold leading to the victim becoming unconscious, according to court documents.

According to the probable cause statement, Johnson had sex with the victim even though the victim said no.

Johnson's bond is set at $100,000 with conditions.
