Tracking a mild Thursday before rain returns Friday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool with lows in the mid-30s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with temperatures more than 20 degrees warmer than average in the mid-60s. Clouds begin to increase by evening.

EXTENDED: Our short-lived warm up comes to an end Friday as a strong low pressure system tracks just to our north and brings a cold front across the region through Saturday. Rain will fill in across Mid-Missouri during the day Friday and continue into Saturday morning, with potentially a few light snow showers mixing with rain north of I-70 before precipitation comes to an end. Little to no impact is expected if we do see a change in precipitation type. Rain amounts will range between 1" to 1.5". Clouds stick around on Saturday, keeping us chilly in the low 40s. We're cooler on Sunday as the front clears the area as we stay in the upper 30s through the afternoon. Next week looks seasonably cool with temperatures in the low 40s and another potential system that could bring precipitation mid-to-late week.
