Columbia city manager names new human resources director

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia City Manager John Glascock announced Richard Enyard, Ph.D., as the new director of Human Resources after a three month search.

Enyard replaces retiring Human Resources Director Margrace Buckler who will retire effective Jan. 14, 2021, after 22 years of service with the City of Columbia.

Enyard will begin his tenure with the City of Columbia on Dec. 28.

"I am impressed with Richard's experience and attitude and I believe he will have an immediate impact toward continuous improvement regarding employee engagement and personnel management," Glascock said. "Richard has close connections to Columbia and mid-Missouri and brings with him many years of experience in both private and public sector human resource management."

Enyard’s annual salary will be $140,000 and includes the standard benefit package for department directors.

A swearing-in ceremony will occur on Monday, Jan 4, at 7 p.m., at the City Council meeting.
