U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission: Stores sold recalled items to customers
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and The TJX Companies Inc. are warning customers that some stores including TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods sold more than a dozen products after they were recalled over the last five years.
According to a news release, this involved 19 different products including portable speakers, sleepers, bar stools and rattles. The release said about 1,200 units of recalled products were sold to customers.
For example, one of the items on the list is Rock 'N Play Sleepers. The sleepers were recalled by Fisher Price in April after some infants died after rolling from their back to their stomach or side while unrestrained.
Glass beer mugs are another product on the list. TJX recalled the mugs in July 2017 because the mug can break if heated or used with hot liquid.
