Boone County probable cause statement reveals how three inmates escaped The Reality House

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

According to Boone County probable cause statements obtained by ABC 17 News, the three inmates being housed at The Reality House all escaped the same way with one escaped on Saturday and two escaped on Monday.

According to court documents, all three men - Lawrence Johnson, Jamale E. Marteen and Tyrone McClain Jr. - all left the building into the recreation yard and climbed the barbwire fence and escaped.

All three men were arrested on similar charges.

According to court documents, a burglary victim reportedly witnesses Johnson leaving an apartment on the 1600 block of University Ave on Sept. 28.

Police then found a man matching the burglary suspect's description walking down Wilson Ave according to court documents. Police reported yelling 'Hey' at Johnson and Johnson running away.

Johnson is charged for burglary and resisting arrest.

Marteen is charged with burglary and property damage after an incident on Oct. 14.

According to court documents, the victim has video of Marteen going through the house during the burglary of several tools and computer equipment.

According to court documents, Tyrone McClain Jr. was arrested on several warrant violations and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
