COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police officers found evidence of shots fired in the 2000 block of Newton Drive Saturday night around 7:00 p.m.

Police responded to the area earlier for a behavioral issue.

They later received reports of shots fired. When they arrived people were gathering but no one would provide a statement.

Police taped off the area and found shell casings.

They also found damage to a vehicle and a home.

There were no reports of injuries.

The scene cleared shortly before 7:40 p.m.
