Traffic stop leads to drug and weapons charges

A Missouri State Highway trooper pulled over a vehicle on Missouri 52 highway leading to one count of drug possession and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

Trooper Fick writes in the probable cause statement that the driver, Brian Rulo, of Rocky Mount, seemed nervous and began sweating during the initial discussion after being stopped.

According to court documents, Trooper Fink asked Rulo to search the vehicle and Rulo denied consent.

After telling Rulo that a K-9 to walk around the vehicle, Rulo admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle and a firearm in a case. Rulo then admitted that there was meth in the case as well.

Trooper Fisk found the firearm, meth, marijuana, and another firearm.

Rulo's bond is set at $25,000.
