Tracking stormy and cooler weather returning today

THIS AFTERNOON: This line of showers and thunderstorms will be moving out very quickly. Most will be dry by 3 pm. Expect much cooler weather as temperatures drop through the 50s and 40s by 6pm.

TONIGHT: Even a lot of the cloud cover will move east this evening, leaving us in the cold tonight. Lows will finally come to a rest in the low to mid 30’s.

EXTENDED: We try to thaw out tomorrow with some sunshine returning, but can only manage the low to mid 50’s. As high pressure slides east, temperatures get a bump on Thursday with a chance to hit 60. A weak front will slide through overnight and reinforce some of that cool air, knocking us into the low 50’s on Friday. Our next weather-maker moves through late Friday night into Saturday, bringing some more showers with it. The better weekend day to stay dry looks to be Sunday, with highs around 60.
