Southern Boone wins 11th straight district championship

ASHLAND, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Southern Boone boys soccer team beat Tolton 4-0 on Wednesday to capture its 11th straight district championship. The Eagles are now 17-0 on the season.

Also on Wednesday - Hickman lost to Blue Springs 4-1 in its district championship. The Kewpies finished the season 11-6-2.

In college basketball news - the Columbia College women's basketball team won its home opener against Benedictine, 72-61.

In volleyball news - Mizzou handed Arkansas its first loss of the season. The Tigers won a five-set match, 3-2, at the Hearnes Center. MU is now 3-2 on the season. The Tigers and Razorbacks will play again on Thursday at 6 p.m.
