City of Ashland reports next week road projects

ASHLAND, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Ashland will start two major road work projects next Monday.

Road Closure- Sarah Drive Bridge Replacement

Beginning at 7 a.m., Sarah Drive will be closed in the 400 block (between Middleton Dr and Commerce Dr) for the replacement of the existing bridge at this location.

This projects is expected to last approximately 2 to 3 weeks, dependent upon weather conditions. The anticipated re-opening date is Friday 11/20/2020.

During this time, crews will be removing the existing bridge and replacing it with a precast box culvert, due to deteriorating conditions.

Traffic barriers and signage will be placed in the area.

Mill and Overlay Project

Beginning at 7 a.m., crews will begin milling streets for asphalt overlay throughout town.

After milling operations are complete, asphalt will be applied in the same order.

These streets are indicated below, in planned sequential order:

  1. American Setter Dr
  2. English Setter Dr
  3. Breton Way
  4. Westwind Ct
  5. Sunset Meadows Way
  6. James Ct

This project is expected to last one week, weather dependent. The anticipated completion date is 11/06/2020.

Traffic barriers and signage will be placed in the work areas.
