Tracking more showers this afternoon
TUESDAY: A light drizzle will greet some of us heading out the door this morning. With temperatures hovering around the freezing mark, take it slow out on those roads-especially on bridges and overpasses. A better shot at some measurable rain moves in this afternoon. A few sleet pellets may mix in as it initially moves in, but should be mostly rain for us. Highs will top out in the upper 30’s and low 40’s.
TONIGHT: Any rain leftover tapers off to a drizzle overnight. Temperatures look to only fall into the middle 30’s, so refreezing shouldn’t be a concern.
EXTENDED: We’ll be dry for the first half of Wednesday, but another round of rain is on the way. It looks to move in toward the afternoon and evening, but will stay through Thursday night. Waves of showers will add up to around two to three inches of rain by Friday morning. Things dry out for the final day of the workweek with highs back in the 50’s. Saturday looks to be in the middle 50’s, but we’re going to have to watch a cold front moving through the Upper Midwest. That may bring some cooler weather for Sunday, but looks to stay dry.
