No one injured after gun fired during reported Columbia home invasion
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Police are investigating after an intruder reportedly fired a gun during an early Saturday home invasion in south Columbia.
Officers were sent to the 200 block of Nikki Way at about 2:15 a.m. The Columbia Police Department said in a news release that the man who lives at the address told officers he heard a sound, woke up and began yelling at the intruder.
The man said the intruder fired a shot then ran from the home, according to CPD.
Officers found a splintered from door, a casing from a bullet and a bullet hole in a wall, police said.
The intruder was last seen driving north on Carrieridge Drive in a small sedan, police said.
