Police investigating robbery at a Jefferson City grocery store

The Jefferson City Police Department is investigating a robbery at the Schnucks grocery store on Sunday.

According to a press release from the department, police responded to a report of a robbery around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Police say a man walked into the store to the courtesy area, and moments later left with an "unknown amount of cash." It's unclear if the robber was armed.

There were no reported injuries to any customers or employees.

Police described the robber as a man wearing a black windbreaker style hooded jacket, light colored denim jeans and tennis shoes.

Jefferson City Police are asking anyone with information to contact the department, or call Crimestoppers at 659-TIPS to remain anonymous.
