Columbia Police respond to shots fired in southeast Columbia, no injuries reported
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia Police responded to a multiple shots fired calls in southeast Columbia near Juniper road Friday night.
According to ABC 17 News on scene, multiple officers were on scene around 8:45, and cleared the scene around 9:05.
Columbia Police Lieutenant Chad Gooch said there are no reported injuries as of Friday night. Officers were looking for property damage in the area.
Gooch said police are looking for a red Ford Fusion, but no other suspect description was given. He said the department believes there is no danger to the community at the moment.

Gooch said police responded to another call in the area just before that, saying only it was not a shots fired call.
One witness on the scene Cory Griffin said he was recieiving threatening messages, so he call the police. Then after police left, two cars came back and shot at him.
"I wasn't so much in fear for my life after I realized that I wasn't hit," Griffin said. "It's hard to tell time when you are getting shot at, you know what I'm saying? you aren't worried about time after you survive.
This is an active investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the department or call crimestoppers.
