JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Cole County grand jury indicted a Jefferson City couple Thursday in connection with an investigation into their 2-month-old baby's death.
The Cole County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that Jason C. Williams, 29, and Kayla A. Brewer, 19, were indicted Thursday in the investigation into the Sept. 30 death in the 800 block of Pitchfork Alley. The grand jury indicted each on three felonies -- delivery of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and child endangerment.
A search of the couple's home turned up a stolen AR-15 rifle, a pound of processed marijuana and more than $30,000, according to the release. The release did not include information about the child's death.
Williams and Brewer were each in the Cole County Jail on Friday with a $10,000 bond.
