Wednesday warmup! Temperatures near 90 this afternoon

THIS AFTERNOON: You'll feel it out the door this afternoon-- more like late-May than early-October! Temperatures will rise into the mid-80s across many areas. Our southern counties may even make a stretch into the upper 80s to near 90. Expect lots of sunshine.

TONIGHT: Quiet and comfortable overnight with lows falling into the mid to upper 50’s.

EXTENDED:  The introduction of clouds should hold us back a degree or two going forward, into the upper 70’s and low 80’s. With no big weather-makers slated to move through, we’re going to stay dry all the way through the weekend. On the other side of it, things are trying to change. An upper-level trough will move through the Midwest and bring showers and thunderstorms with it. Still uncertain whether this will move through Mid-Missouri, or will miss us to the north. It’s going to be something we’re tracking over the next few days.
