I-70 lanes to close for Callaway County bridge project next week
CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
MoDOT wants overnight Interstate 70 travelers in Callaway County about lane closures next week as crews install guardrail and remove temporary concrete barriers in the median and shoulders of the interstate as part of the new Route D bridge construction.
Individual lanes of I-70 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Wednesday, September 23 through Friday, September 25.
Message boards will be used to alert motorists of the lane closures.
Drivers are asked to slow down, watch for crews and put away distractions in work zones.
The Route D bridge replacement is scheduled to be completed this fall. The project is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
