SATURDAY UPDATES: Boone County reports 90 new COVID-19 cases

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 5:35 P.M.: The Howard County Public Health Department reported four new COVID-19 cases.

There are 58 active cases of the virus in Howard County. There have been a total of 227.

Two people in the county are hospitalized with the virus.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M.: The Morgan County Health Center reported three new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.

The county has now had 186 total cases of the virus.

There are currently 47 active cases.

UPDATE 5:15 P.M.: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department has reported 3,820 COVID-19 cases in the county.

The department reported 90 new cases on Saturday. Saturday marked the seventh day new cases have been under 100.

Out of the total cases, 841 are active.

The five day average of positive cases rose slightly from 66.4 on Friday to 67 on Saturday.

ORIGINAL: The Department of Health and Senior Services reported 1,974 new COVID-19 cases Saturday.

There have now been 101,134 cases in the state.

The department also reported three new COVID-related deaths, bringing the death toll in the state up to 1,704.

The seven-day rate of positive tests is 12%.

At least 1,113,373 Missouri residents have been tested for the virus.

On Saturday, 1,040 people were hospitalized with the virus.
