Tenth Street reopens after ‘fire incident’ in downtown Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Firefighters briefly closed part of Tenth Street in downtown Columbia Friday night.

According to Boone County Joint Communications, the closure was for a fire incident.

Online dispatch records show the Columbia Fire Department responded to a "confined space/structure collapse" around 5:30 p.m. at the parking garage at 100 S. Tenth Street.

The entrance to the parking garage remained taped off as of 6:30 p.m. The road reopened around 6:25 p.m.

ABC 17 News has contacted the fire department for more information about the incident.
