North Callaway cancels its football game after the death of a student

KINGDOM CITY, Mo (KMIZ)

The North Callaway Thunderbirds canceled their football game on Friday night following the death of one of its players.

The district superintendent Nicole Kemp said the student was active in school and extracurricular activities, which included football.

"We are saddened by this loss and send our condolences to his family and friends," she said.

The Thunderbirds were set to host Clopton/Elsberry on Friday night.
