Tracking beautiful weather for Labor Day weekend

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy to mostly clear and muggy with lows in the mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Partly to mostly sunny, warm, and humid with highs in the upper 80s. Heat indices in the low 90s.

EXTENDED: The cold front responsible for this week's rain will finally push south of Mid-Missouri Thursday, leaving us with cooler temperatures overnight into Friday. Expect much lower humidity and a nice end to the week with sunshine and highs near 80 degrees. The weekend is a touch warmer as winds shift back south, and highs get back into the mid-upper 80s. Another front could bring a slight chance for showers and a few storms on Labor Day, with better chances for widespread rain Tuesday into Wednesday with a strong low pressure system. Once that exits, we're in for some chilly fall-like air by Wednesday morning as low temperatures drop into the mid-upper 40s. Highs on Wednesday stay in the low 60s. The cooler than average temperatures look to stick around for much of next week.
