Tracking another round of storms Tuesday morning
TONIGHT: Spotty storms possible, mostly cloudy with patchy fog developing. Lows in the upper 60s.
TOMORROW: Widespread showers and storms early. Some storms could bring heavy rain and frequent lightning, but the severe weather threat is much lower than Monday. Rain amounts will range from 0.5" to 1". Storms diminish southeast by late afternoon. Highs in the low 80s.
EXTENDED: The cold front responsible for triggering storms on Monday and Tuesday will be positioned across the southern third of the state on Wednesday, giving us better chances for storms south of I-70 during the day. Temperatures remain in the low 80s. The front finally pushes completely out of the state on Thursday into Friday, leaving us much more pleasant to end the week on Friday, with lower humidity and cooler temperatures as highs reach the upper 70s. Sunshine continues through Saturday and early Sunday before another front moves through the area Sunday night into Monday. Showers and storms are looking more likely on Labor Day, when we cool even further into the mid-70s for highs.
