Tracking slight chances of storms through the weekend
THIS AFTERNOON: A few storms are occurring south of HWY 50 this afternoon. For the most part, that's where the activity is going to tend to hang around today. Most of us are going to see increasing cloud cover through the rest of the afternoon, which should keep temperatures in the mid to upper 80s.
TONIGHT: Rain chances will taper off by sunset. With partly cloudy skies overhead, lows will only manage the low 70's tonight.
EXTENDED: More of the same tomorrow with highs in the low 90's. Still hoping for some relief from what's left of Laura working through southern parts of the state, but doesn't look like anyone north of HWY 50 can expect much. Cloud cover will be more expansive tomorrow and should help keep temperatures in check once again. Let's think mid 80s. A cold front will chase what's left of Laura out of the area Saturday morning. This front may be enough to kick up some storms along it early Saturday, but the afternoon is looking dry. Highs will take a hit, back into the middle 80's both Saturday and Sunday. Rain stays away long enough to salvage Sunday, but returns late. That looks to kick off an active pattern returning, with rain chances just about daily moving forward. Those at least look to keep highs from reaching back into the 90's most, if not all of next week.
