Man charged for MU fraternity burglary
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Boone County prosecutors charged a man with first-degree burglary and stealing $750 or more from a University of Missouri fraternity house in September.
Robert Mull is accused of taking about $17,000 worth of items from the Sigma Chi house at 500 S. College Ave. on Sept. 20.
Court documents say Mull entered the house through a fire escape. Columbia police officers say Mull can be seen entering the house on security camera footage and later leaving in a black Dodge Charger. Officers said Mull posted on social media wearing clothes he had on during the alleged burglary in the same car.
Mull's probable cause statement shows he stole personal property. Officers said Apple laptops, cash, textbooks, watches and prescription medication were stolen.
Court documents show police received two tips through Crimestoppers which led them to Mull. Police say the first tip came in a day after the alleged burglary and identified the man on security video as Mull. A second anonymous caller said he drove a similar black charger.
The court document shows Mull was on probation for a previous burglary at the time of the alleged crime.
Mull is being held in the Boone County jail on a $200,000 bond.
