GALLERY: Storms cause flash flooding, damage in Jefferson City
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Jefferson City Fire Department responded to at least 25 incident Sunday as a severe thunderstorm swept through the area.
Nine of the incidents were reported to be water rescues. Crews removed multiple people from vehicles that had stalled in flash floodwaters.

Other calls included fire alarms and reports of power lines down.
Multiple families were displaced from apartments on East McCarty Street and Christopher Place. The Red Cross is helping now helping them.
Floodwaters in homes were also reported on East Elm and Bald Hill.
According to the fire department, the Department of Natural Resuorces was request for an incident involving a spill into a waterway.
ABC 17 News crews saw several trees down in Jefferson City Sunday, including at Stadium Boulevard and Southwest Boulevard, and at Swifts Highway.
Storms were also seen moving in across mid-Missouri, including in Columbia.
