SUNDAY UPDATES: Active cases decrease in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 4:40 P.M.: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department reported 892 cases of COVID-19 Sunday.

The number of active cases of the virus decreased from Saturday. The health department reported 306 active cases of the virus on Saturday, but only 263 on Sunday.

There were 10 people hospitalized with the virus in Boone County on Sunday.

ORIGINAL: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 846 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday. The total number of cases reported in the state is 33,094.

The department reported 1,129 deaths from the virus.

Hospitalizations associated with the virus in Missouri have not been updated due to a change in data measures and the reporting platform issued by the White House.
