Friday morning crash closes lane of I-70 West in Columbia

UPDATE 9:10 A.M.: MoDOT said at 9:04 a.m. the crash was cleared.

It's still unclear what caused the crash and if any people were hurt.

ORIGINAL: The Missouri Department of Transportation said a crash on Interstate 70 westbound closed a lane of traffic Friday morning.

The MoDOT Traveler Information map said two vehicles were involved in the crash near the Rangeline Street exit around 8:11 a.m.

Crews said the right lane of the interstate was closed and that traffic could be affected until 9 a.m.

It wasn't immediately available what caused the crash or if any people were hurt.
