Federal prosecutors charged three Columbia men Friday with being part of a conspiracy to sell heroin.

Keveon Martez Johnson, 36, his brother, Marcus Johnson, 34, and Marcus Seawood, 38, were charged in separate criminal complaints filed in Jefferson City, according to a release from the federal prosecutor's office. The complaints allege the men were part of a conspiracy to sell the drug from Dec. 17 to June 11.

Investigators used confidential informants to buy drugs from Keveon Johnson and Seawood and an informant identified Marcus Johnson as someone who moved drugs for his brother, according to the release.

Officers searched Keveon Johnson's home Thursday, finding 153 grams of heroin and $4,000 cash in a jacket inside, the release says. They found 15 grams of heroin in another jacket, according to the release.

The three men were arrested Thursday in a traffic stop, federal prosecutors say. Marcus Johnson had about 3 grams of heroin at the time, the release says.
