Jefferson City man accused of firing shots
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Jefferson City man has been charged with a felony after police said a witness identified him as a man who fired a gun early Saturday.
Police were sent to an apartment at 302 Cherry St. on a call of shots fired at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a probable cause statement. Police used a stun gun to subdue a man as he left the apartment after a witness told them the man who shot the gun was inside, according to the statement.
The witness identified the man police detained, Bruce Rogers, as the one he saw with a gun in a vehicle after shots were fired, according to the statement. Police say they found a spent shell casing on the floorboard where Rogers had been sitting.
Rogers is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest.
Rogers was jailed on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
