Lanes reopen after Interstate 70 crashes in Callaway County

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: The Missouri Department of Transportation says all lanes of Interstate 70 in Callaway County are now open.

Details on the crashes were not available.

UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the passing lane of eastbound Interstate 70 has reopened at the 153 mile marker.

ORIGINAL: Multiple crashes blocked the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 in Callaway County on Tuesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said crashes were being reported from the 152 mile marker to the 155 mark, with both lanes blocked at the 153 mile marker. The Missouri Department of Transportation map warned of a closure in the Calwood area that could last an hour.

It wasn't immediately clear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was injured.
